SMS Verbal Consent Process

Old Zion Hill Baptist Church

Old Zion Hill Baptist Church may obtain consent to receive informational and administrative text messages verbally from church members, ministry volunteers, and other participants.

Before enrolling an individual in the text messaging program, an authorized church representative reads or communicates the following disclosure:

“Old Zion Hill Baptist Church offers recurring text notifications regarding ministry and volunteer schedules, assignment reminders, schedule changes, church events, and other church-related administrative information. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP at any time to opt out. Our SMS Terms & Conditions are available at ozhbc.com/sms-terms and our SMS Privacy Policy is available at ozhbc.com/sms-privacy. Would you like to receive these text messages from Old Zion Hill Baptist Church?”

The individual must respond affirmatively, such as “Yes,” before being enrolled.

Old Zion Hill Baptist Church records the individual's mobile number, consent status, date of consent, and consent method. Individuals who do not affirmatively consent are not enrolled.

After enrollment, the individual receives a confirmation message identifying Old Zion Hill Baptist Church and providing message-frequency, message-and-data-rate, HELP, and STOP information.
